The Urban Index is a developing DFA-powered intelligence framework designed to identify and communicate meaningful movements across culture, community, experiences, businesses, places, sentiment, participation and economic activity.
Signal families under consideration
The developing framework is evaluating several contextual signal families. Final dimensions, definitions, data requirements, validation standards and governance controls will require approval before public indicators are released. The following are illustrative research and design areas — they do not constitute an approved scoring methodology.

Context-specific reliability and integrity signals — how they would be defined, sourced and governed is under active research.
Community Participation
Signals related to time, participation, mentorship and service to communities — eligibility and measurement criteria have not been approved.
Cultural Sentiment
Culturally informed signals about expressed attitudes and experiences — context, interpretation standards and time-window definitions are under evaluation.
Movement & Momentum
Direction and pace of change in relevant evidence over time — methodology and baseline definitions are under consideration.
For Communities
The Urban Index is being designed to help communities understand patterns affecting their experiences, places, participation and economic life. Public indicators will require transparent context, provenance and stated limitations before release.
For Businesses
The Urban Index may help businesses understand cultural, community, experience and economic movements relevant to how they serve and participate. Any future business-facing indicators will require documented methodology, appropriate context and correction or dispute processes.
Governance
The developing governance model considers provenance, eligibility, interpretation, correction, dispute and anti-gaming controls. Methodology and public documentation would accompany any approved public release of indicators or benchmarks.
No standing, ranking, score or rating is currently authorized or being published. The framework is being developed with community accountability, interpretive fairness and transparent limitations as design requirements.
